The Opportunity

Senior Software Engineer is responsible for development of enhancements to ourWarehouse Management Systems,your work will directly influence our business and customer promise. This position will be a highly visible member of the Enterprise Data Warehouse development team. This team focuses on the design, development, unit testing, and implementation of various Data Engineering solutions. You will be a part of EDW modernization projects and will impact how the data is processed, transformed, organized, and used for Corporate Reporting, Analytics and Data Science teams.

Your Impact

• Provide thought leadership to the rest of the development team and mentor junior staff members
• Work closely with Principal Engineers, Solution, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure strategic solutions aligned with the enterprise reference architecture.
• Collaborate with Scrum Master in determining the sequence of development execution and own and deliver design artifacts for each sprint
• Apply knowledge of the latest trends in the industry and engage with other team members to consult and help implement appropriate technology practices and solutions
• Ensure implementations are highly scalable, highly available, performant, and secure
• Estimate own and, in some cases feature-level work effort for input to project planning
• Escalate delays, issues, risks, and highlights to project managers and/or project leads

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in software development, through software development life cycle (SDLC).
• 5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse projects, using data warehouse design techniques, and processing enterprise scale volumes of data
• 5+ years advanced hands-on experience on Data extraction, Transformation & Loading (ETL) development, using most popular RDBMS (Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Oracle) and SQL scripting.
• 3+ years advanced hands-on experience using Azure Cloud toolset: Synapse, Delta lake, Data Factory, DevOps, Data Lake, PySpark, Databricks, Databricks Notebooks
• Experience with Agile methodology (Scrum), Jira, Confluence
• Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting complex distributed systems
• Experience in maintaining services in 24 u00d77 production environment, demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and resolve most problems on the systems supported.
• Understanding of key technical architectural components and how they should be factored into decisions and recommendations.
• Ability to discuss technology-related business problems with clients and project partners, and collaborates to assess options and develop the best solution.
• Knowledge of Stonebranch's Service Orchestration and Automation Platform (SOAP) is a plus
• Knowledge of BI reporting tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Hyperion) is a plus
• Working experience in Retail Industry is a plus
• Enterprise CRM experience is a plus
