That's where you come in.
Our Reporting Team is responsible for providing data to our merchants about how their business is working to make data driven decisions. We're looking for a Senior Engineer to help us provide even more help by giving insights in a greenfield self-service platform that elevates the ability for restaurant owners to deeply know their business and plan for their future. You'll help us architect this new platform, wrangle data, and provide the same type of smooth customer experience we give across all our products (although with waaaay more data).
Responsibilities:

• Lead by example by following the best practices of SpotOn SDLC and introducing your own ideas to make agile, code reviews, and mentorship work for our team.
• Lead the implementation of continuous deployment pipelines and containerization of applications using Kubernetes and AWS
• Build ETL pipelines using Kafka and Golang
• Build out monitoring of ETL pipelines to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency with DataDog
• Architect star schemas for data storage
• Monitor, tune, and scale each layer of the ETL infrastructure
• Build and maintain full stack web application and corresponding business intelligence integration using TypeScript and node.js

• Experience developing and architecting ETL pipelines
• 4 years of full-stack software development
• 2 years of development experience with event-based streaming (we use Kafka)
• 2 years of experience modeling business processes in a relational database
• Ability to design and build star-schema database models
• Experience with containerizing software applications from scratch
• Experience working on a small team (3-5 members)
• Experience working across time zones with a global team
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Previous experience working in a small, fast-paced, agile team
• Comfortability pushing back on obstacles and voicing concerns
