Responsibilities

JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

LOCATION: 2702 Love Field Drive, Dallas, TX 75235, and may work from home

DUTIES: Design, write program code, test, document, and implement software applications; identify and prevent production problems and implement immediate resolution efforts across technology areas; design, develop, and implement ETL; mentor engineers, identify defects, lead testing and implement system enhancements using techniques that preserve system integrity and drive a results-oriented environment; develop, test and operate end-to-end software solutions using machine learning, related optimization and knowledge systems; ensure that systems are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated; define procedures, standards, measurements, accountability, and promote quality and quantity of work; act as a subject matter expert for scope of solutions; remain abreast of industry trends and develop business cases for changes; measure and define parameters for transitioning of features into a production environment; lead consistent forms of communication within teams while facilitating sessions for updates and idea sharing; partner, lead, and collaborate with all levels vertically from team-members up to senior leaders; communicate with external parties and industry consortium to enhance knowledge and identify opportunities for teams; lead team to find best solution and offer thought leadership; embody Agile best practices and continuous improvement; identify problems, perform root cause analysis, investigate information, perform impact analysis; formulate and execute plans to develop solutions; identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions while researching pros/cons of alternative options.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Business, Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Mathematical Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field followed by 5 years of progressive experience in software design, development, or testing using SQL, Unix Shell scripting, and ETL tools like Ab Initio, Informatica, or any other ETL tools. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree followed by 5 years of progressive experience, employer will accept a Master's or foreign equivalent degree in the fields stated above and 3 years of experience in the skill sets stated above. Experience therein to include 3 years using FastLoad, MultiLoad, FastExport, TPT, and BTEQ. Must have ability to work from home.
