By joining this team, you will gain valuable experience in service-oriented network architectures, datacenter networking, monitoring and security as well as working with partner teams.ResponsibilitiesOur team is looking for Software Engineers to work on data plane enablement in connectivity scenarios required by Azure Dedicated workloads. This role will primarily focus on designing, developing, deploying, and monitoring various product features.
This role offers great opportunities to work with many partner teams and gain broad exposure to control plane and data plane technologies end-to-end. More specific responsibilities include:• Design and develop networking features for Azure Dedicated solutions• Develop, setup, and execute tests before feature release• Create monitoring, diagnostic tools, and self-healing actions to maximize and maintain quality of service• Build, deploy, and maintain cloud services in public, soverign cloud regions• Solve hard distributed system problems while making changes to fundamental Azure control and data plane components, networking, and operating systems• Build upon the work of others and contribute to the success of others• Maintain service compliance with Microsoft compliance frameworks to deliver a service customers trustQualificationsRequired Qualifications
• At least 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
o Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
o Candidates must have an active US Government Top Secret security clearance and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph), or have an active TS/SCI (with polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline, or in place of 4-year degree, an equivalent industry internship or industry software engineering experience
• Strong experience in network security
• Strong experience in compliance, certifications of solutions (FedRamp, NIST, FIPS)
• Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills.
• Bias for action and learning.
• Ability to collaborate within and across teams effectively.
• Experienced with C++, C#, GoLang, Java, or Python.
• Proficiency in Networking: switching and routing protocols, transport protocols (TCP/UDP), security protocols (IPsec, SSL, TLS).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, or similar cloud computing platforms.
• Experience in concurrency, multithreading, and synchronization
• Experience working on cloud networking technologies and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
• Creating documentation for engineering use (design, diagnostics, troubleshooting guides, standard operations procedures)
• Demonstrated stakeholder management ability including effective prioritization, clear and concise communication, and delivery of actionable data-driven insights.
