Position Summary:
We have a terrific position available for an innovative, inspired problem solver to develop high-quality client software for Android devices. As a member of our Android engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work directly on the Pandora app across mobile, TV, and Automotive platforms, impacting the audio entertainment experience for millions of listeners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will get the chance to take on complex and interesting problems as part of a fast-paced, highly collaborative team. We hold ourselves to high standards, and take pride in our work. This is a great opportunity for seasoned engineers with experience in Kotlin and Android application development.
You should have a strong understanding of quality Kotlin and Android application development and the associated technologies. As a member of our highly motivated team, you should be dedicated to excellence and have a strong sense of personal responsibility. You place a high value on testing.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Native Android development
- 3+ years with Kotlin
Requirements and General Skills:
- Expert knowledge of developing, testing, and debugging mobile applications using Android/Kotlin.
- Released app(s) into the Google Play Store.
- Strong object-oriented design and coding skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Experience with latest open-source libraries and Google Android Frameworks.
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
- Dedication to thorough testing and creating high quality software.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Kotlin and latest Android features and technologies
- Experience with Kotlin Coroutines - Flows and Channels
- Experience with Android Jetpack libraries
- Experience with Agile software development
- Understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) and object-oriented programming (OOP)
