About the job
The Red Hat AI Services team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you'll work with our AI ecosystem partners and potential partners to implement their offerings on Red Hat platforms and integrate them into the Red Hat catalog of services. In addition to working on the integration of partner offerings, you will help coordinate awareness and enablement of the offering across Red Hat. You'll need to have passion for technology and development balanced with the responsibility of prioritizing work for team members and contributing to the future of AI at Red Hat.
What you will do

  • Work with partners and potential partners to provide technical assistance for implementing their offerings on Red Hat technology, primarily Red Hat OpenShift
  • Identify and prioritize gaps in the Red Hat AI ecosystem and target potential partners to fill those gaps
  • Contribute to OpenDataHub.io, an open source project for highlighting AI/ML on OpenShift, by integrating open source technologies into the platform
  • Deliver demonstrations and technical presentations to a varied audience
  • Develop enablement material which can be used to train other Red Hat technical and non-technical associates on the AI ecosystem
  • Collaborate with other Red Hat departments to integrate partner offerings into reference implementations and offerings
  • Serve as an expert on the AI ecosystem on Red Hat technology and comparable platforms


What you will bring

  • Ability to quickly learn and use new tools and technologies
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with source code control tools like Git, SVN, GitHub, etc.
  • Proven experience with the Linux operating system
  • Excellent system understanding and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Solid innovation skills and a passion for technology
  • Ability to work on your own in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent English language skills


The following will be considered a plus:

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, operations research, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent expertise; Master's or PhD is a big plus
  • Experience in consulting or another field related to cognitive computing, text analytics, natural language processing in a customer environment
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes Operator Framework and Patterns, Ansible, or Helm Charts
  • Intermediate level knowledge and experience coding in Go, Python, and YAML
  • Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes operators, S2I, Podman, and Docker
  • Familiarity with popular python machine learning libraries
