Overview

We're looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Foundation Team. This is a new team responsible for optimizing, maintaining, expanding, and scaling the core, critical architecture of Recharge's business engine and current/new features. As a member of this team, you will work closely with the CTO and architects to help carry out Recharge's technical vision in a fast-paced environment with heavy cross-team interaction.

What you’ll do

• Live by and champion our values: #day-one, #ownership, #empathy, #humility.
• Write Python code focused on scalability, testability, supportability and maintainability.
• Implement new technologies to solve Recharge’s core technical challenges as we scale.
• Champion good habits (development techniques, security, tech debt balance, TDD, and agile habits) within your team
• Debug production issues and address performance issues.
• Perform thorough code reviews and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Building new services that scale; deploy code daily.

What you’ll bring

• Typically, 9+ years of relevant development experience in fast paced environments
• Expert knowledge of Python and experience with Flask or Django
• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as GCP or AWS
• Experience with SQL, MySQL
• A knack for refactoring base architecture is a plus
• Self driven; highly flexible and able to work in a fluid engineering environment
• Ability to work remote-first in a rapidly scaling organization
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience desired
