About the Opportunity:
The Ceridian Data and Analytics team is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer that is passionate about all facets of cloud infrastructure and eager to build a data platform to provide data to clients to improve business results. Activities include designing and building secure cloud environments that support data analytics and actionable insights; transforming, modelling, processing, and extracting value from datasets; utilizing cutting-edge technology to create data tools that lead to innovative products. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills and a desire to keep up to date with advances in big data technologies.
Your impact will be evident through your effective participation in gathering requirements, planning the tools and connections needed, monitoring, and standing up the system. You will work closely and collaborate with implementation partners and Dayforce personnel to envision and deliver the required functionality.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of highly scalable and available innovative solutions
• Participate in critical architecture design, advise and influence on strategic technical directions
• Recommend new technologies to ensure solution scalability, maintainability and quality
• Participate in Product discussions to advise on and influence the Product Roadmap
• Take ownership and responsibility for cloud initiatives and make them happen
• Contribute to the engineering process and culture, grow with and influence the team

Skills and Experience we value:

• 3+ years delivering solutions with Azure cloud technologies
• Technical fluency; comfort leading, discussing or diving deep on technology concepts, options and new opportunities with technical team members
• Driven by delivering customer value and impact
• Desire to work and experiment with new technologies with a proven track record of quickly learning new technologies
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

What would make you stand out:

• Experience implementing Continuous Deployment with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
• Experience with one or more infrastructure automation technologies, preferably Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with agile software development in C#, Java, JavaScript, and Python
• You have at least 2 years of technical working knowledge of containers technology, such as Docker, and Kubernetes.
• You have at least 2 years of hands-on technical working experience in managing Microsoft Azure hosted infrastructure & systems.
• You have at least 5 years of technical knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, network devices & protocols and their impact on performance.
• You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience and in-depth understanding ETL, SQL, data modelling, data warehousing, and business intelligence architecture
• Demonstrated hands-on Azure implementation of data pipelines using Azure Data Resources (Power BI, Databricks, Data Lakes, Azure Data Factory)
• Designing of Azure security constructs of data pipeline resources
