Summary

The Senior Software Engineer role works in an Agile based software development environment in creating robust tools for internal and external game studio customers. This role is responsible for design, code development, debugging, testing, integration and documentation of software products. This engineer has a solid foundation in software development and is expected to work under moderate supervision from a senior developer.

What you'll do

• Maintain and develop features for a business-critical web application
• Follow a disciplined Agile software development process in task estimation, design, development, code reviews, unit/integration testing and defect fixing of products
• Assist in the creation of technical design documents for the product
• Work with senior staff to design code that adheres to the written specifications
• Participate in peer reviews of code design and written code as assigned
• Document new/modified code, and develops/automates unit and integration tests to verify the changes
• Analyze existing software to debug and troubleshoot field issues that may arise
• Participate as required in process improvement initiatives
• Assist in the technical analysis of potential tools and commercial products
• Mentor Software Engineer I’s in becoming familiar with VGT’s technical processes
• Perform all other duties as assigned

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or related experience
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Object-oriented design and development practices
• .NET 4.7.1 C# 7
• ASP.NET Web API
• MVC 5
• Javascript ES5
• AngularJS 1.14
• Sharepoint Tools
• MS TSQL 2012
• Experience with these technologies will be desirable:
• npm
• Unit testing JavaScript (Jasmine)
• PDF document generation
• Bootstrap 3
• Web site application UI/UX design
• Okta Single Sign On / Identity Framework / OWIN 2
