We are looking for Senior Software Developer to join PC Core Technology (PCCT) team for platform modernization and scaling initiatives, building low latent and highly scalable next generation platform; This is an exciting opportunity delivering innovative business solutions leveraging emerging technologies at Schwab.

What you are good at
As a Senior Software Developer, you will possess excellent technical, communication and collaboration skills. You will work closely with architects, the development team, and product owners to design and implement new features, enhancements, and fixes for a large and complex portfolio management system. You will have strong object-oriented design and programming skills with C#, NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Aerospike, and experience building APIs/RESTful webservices. You will demonstrate sense of ownership in work you do. You will follow Software Development best practices and possess ability to influence others. Applicants with relevant C++ or Java experience are also encouraged to apply. This role will require strong problem solving and communication skills in an agile environment.

What you have

• 5+ years developing in distributed platform with C#/.Net - consideration for C++ or Java
• 3+ years developing web services - preferably REST services
• 3+ years of experience in database principles - preferably with NoSQL databases
• Experience with unit testing and test automation
• Strong object-oriented design skills
• Excellent communication skills with ability to work with cross-functional partners including product owners and technology teams
• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills who can grasp difficult concepts and large architecture quickly
• Experience with Agile Development Practices and Scrum
• Experience and a desire to mentor peers and junior staff
• Experience overseeing, coordinating, and helping deliver work at the team level
• BS or higher in computer science or related technical field.
