The Role
The Nordic Interoperability team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead software design and development processes across two existing and future new Health IT applications. The Senior Software Engineer should bring prior healthcare software experience including experience with FHIR, HL7v2, SMART on FHIR, and EDI standards. We are seeking a candidate with experience in C#, .NET, and Python, and a strong understanding of server less cloud infrastructure and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Design and development of full stack applications using modern technologies as an individual owner or as part of a larger development team
- Leadership as a senior member of the software development team
- Provide a strong understanding of application architecture; help select appropriate technologies to enable customer requirements and reduce overhead
- Oversight of CI/CD and application deployment processes using Azure and AWS
- Unit testing and test-driven development
- QA of code written by other team members
- Creation of compelling visuals that describe application processes and architecture for business and development purposes
- Work on multiple unique projects during the same timeframe
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related software development degree, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years' experience developing software using Python and C#, and a working knowledge of other common languages
- 4+ years' experience developing web applications (.NET, Flask)
- Experience with FHIR, HL7 v2, or other healthcare interoperability standards is required
- Professional experience with JavaScript, Typescript, and React preferred
- Experience using Git on projects with multiple developers. A strong and displayable understanding of Git syntax and process is critical.
