Shipt is growing and we are searching for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will own the production environment and build tools that improve the observability of our microservice infrastructure. This is a team of highly technical generalists that are obsessed with improving the performance of our applications and making the user experience better for all our internal and external customers.

What You'll Gain

Your Responsibilities

• Pioneer and simplify operational processes
• Identify contributing causes and fix problems permanently
• Work with other engineers to ensure Shipt is meeting reliability and performance standards
• Participate in an oncall rotation where we drive production issues through mitigation to permanent resolution

Requirements

• 2+ years writing highly scalable, distributed web services in Go or a similar statically typed language
• Working experience with software development using distributed version control software like Git
• Bachelor's degree with programming coursework or equivalent experience

Nice to Haves

A candidate does not need any one of these, but a successful hire may have practical experience with some of the following:

• Cloud infrastructure providers: AWS, GCP, Cloudflare
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
• Data systems: CockroachDB, Kafka, Postgres, Redis, or Snowflake
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi
• Nginx
• Agile methodologies
• Customer service experience

The minimum annual salary for this position is $85,100. You may also be entitled to receive bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
