Job Description

Your Career 

Unit 42 Engineering is seeking an accomplished Security Integration Developer to join the team responsible for building tools and automation for our cybersecurity consulting services. This role will support the team by connecting Palo Alto Networks products into a backend processing pipeline on GCP. You will work on a fast moving and multi-functional team of innovative engineers.

• Technical experts that help accelerate adoption of the very best engineering practices, while maintaining knowledge on industry innovations, trends and practices

• Experts who deliver on critical business needs and are recognized across the company as go-to engineering resources on given domains

• Role models and mentors who exemplify the best of Palo alto Networks culture

• Hands-on engineers that can code and build great products

Your Impact 

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of integration solutions for service delivery, by connecting Palo Alto Networks products and 3rd party security tools 

• Design and build tests for new features we’re introducing in the product and service line -Our existing framework is Python-based, but challenges may span from writing tests in Python to deep-diving into product code in other languages across our stack

• Become a product expert - an SME for many of Palo Alto Networks products, working together with security consulting and engineering teams to ensure our customers and partners get the most out of our products

Qualifications

Your Experience 

• In-depth experience integrating security software and tools, and developing ETL solutions

• Significant experience developing solutions with Python is a must, experience developing in JavaScript / React and/or Terraform are a plus

• Experience configuring data sources for SIEMs such as Splunk, Azure Sentinel, or ELK, developing data pipelines with tools such as FluentBit, or LogStash, and processing pipelines such as Apache Airflow

• Excellent problem finding and solving skills, ability to analyze complex multivariate problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution

• Ability to grasp new technologies quickly and prioritize and multitask on multiple responsibilities

• Ability to quickly develop solutions with scripts, or develop more mature code to solve problems, and the ability to pivot between those two paradigms as appropriate

• Can-do and self-starting attitude with regard to creative problem-solving, quality, and ability to execute

Bonus

• Development experience in GCP

• GCIA,GCIH,GCLD, GMON, GSOC, CCNA, SIEM and/or DevOps certifications 

• SOAR based experience, such as creating scripts and playbooks to automate event enrichment and response actions using scripting languages, such as python, ansible or javascript
