Description:  

Quality is everyone’s responsibility at p44. The Quality group is part of the Engineering Operations organization and works hand in hand with the SRE and Engineering Productivity teams. They are the center of gravity for driving operational maturity excellence.  

The Senior SDET will be embedded with an engineering team and help with maturing their test automation efforts. You will work closely with developers in a dynamic agile environment to deliver high quality and reliable products.  

This position will report to the Quality Engineering manager. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for solving problems, finding issues early and takes pride in the quality of their work. 

Responsibilities: 

• Participate in designing and developing testing automation framework/tools that can support component-level testing automation for new features, and an extensive regression testing suite for system-level API services and Web UIs  
• Improve automated testing methodologies to maximize test coverage 
• Write and execute automated testing scripts and generate testing result reports 
• Work with developers to ensure all functionality has been tested, defects have been identified and documented, impacts have been assessed, and resolutions provided 
• Implement best practices in code quality, testing, maintainability, and reliability 
• Track gaps, quality, and productivity metrics. Use this data to improve these gaps with engineering teams 
• Surface risks coming from your immediate teams and help mitigate 
• Strong sense of ownership, curiosity and drive 
• Play an influential role in growing project44 to the industry leader in technology 

Requirements & Skills:  

• 5+ years of QA experience in test automation for products or systems on Windows and Linux environments  
• Strong experience with guiding teams with test planning, test strategies and methodologies 
• Experience developing in Java or Python  
• Experience interacting with RESTful APIs and JSON data. Microservices a plus!   
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment environments and how to ensure quality within such environments 
• Experience working with distributed version control systems such as Git 
• Experience with UI, API, & Mobile test automation tools 
• Experience working with Docker containers 
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS 
• Passionate about developer tools and shipping high-quality software
