The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Product Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you will help customers understand how Red Hat solutions will give them a competitive advantage and achieve their business objectives. As a Senior Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Product Solutions Architect, you will need a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, and a deep understanding of business processes and IT problems faced at the enterprise level to identify and create business solutions. You'll also need excellent communication and people skills because you'll be a crucial part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. While this is a remote position, the ideal location for the successful candidate is in Texas.
What you will do

  • Discover and analyze customers' business and technical problems, and connect the appropriate Red Hat solution that aligns to their needs
  • Use your deep product knowledge to provide technical leadership to the sales team and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Meet revenue goals, deployment, and service objectives while sustaining good relationships with prospects and customers
  • Collaborate with product teams and the Product Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales teams to ensure excellent customer experience with our offerings and solutions
  • Demonstrate expertise by delivering whitepapers and conference speeches; share knowledge with your team members to allow them to learn from your work


What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a system engineer, consultant, architect, or equivalent role; experience in sales is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a record of developing relationships at technical, management, and executive levels
  • Deep knowledge of Linux or UNIX based system architectures, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and related addons
  • Solid experience in system management at scale using Red Hat Satellite and Red Hat Insights
  • Experience working with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform or other configuration management platform like Puppet, Chef, or Salt
  • Good understanding of cloud management technologies; experience with Red Hat Cloud Suite is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines


The following are a plus:

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with container and container orchestration technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or similar industry certifications
