Senior Reliability Engineer

Position Summary:

Senior Reliability Engineer, reporting directly to the Global Engineering Director, leads development and implementation of global reliability strategy for North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific manufacturing sites, integrates with maintenance strategy to maximize asset performance, and drives solutions to improve reliability, availability, uptime, and overall equipment effectiveness through application of reliability technology and tools to enable each site to meet its business plan and strategy. The role focuses on loss elimination, risk management, life cycle asset management, on long-term problem solving, risk assessments, reliability models, and digital technologies for predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, and data analytics.

Key Outcomes / Responsibilities:
• Responsible for global Equipment Reliability Strategies (ERS), manufacturing site reliability strategy, and equipment criticality analysis.
• Leads ERS and equipment criticality analysis implementation in partnership with site maintenance and technical personnel and closes gaps to improve/sustain reliability improvement.
• Responsible for global Predictive Preventive Maintenance (PPM) deployment including equipment condition monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of each manufacturing site aspects of the PPM program.
• Identify and resolve Top Reliability Opportunities and decrease equipment failure losses proactively in order to meet the site Product Supply Reliability improvement goals for the given year and beyond.
• Work with Project Engineering Teams and Maintenance Stakeholders to ensure the reliability, availability, and maintainability of new and modified installations. Leverages the Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of new or modified assets.
• Coordinate Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact business or site operation.
• Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems such as capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues that adversely affect business or site operations. Utilizes reliability tools such as FMEA, CA, Reliability Modeling, Weibull Analysis, RCFA, FTA, and FRACAS in conjunction with tools like PHA, Six Sigma, RCI, and MI to identify and manage risks.
• Consult asset management development strategies to ensure activities conform to Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP).
• Develop, implement, and maintain global reliability standards and business processes.
• Develop reliability SOPs and work instructions to support the program.
• Coordinate with Technical and Production to perform analyses of assets such as Asset Utilization, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, and Remaining useful life.
• Provide technical support for plant equipment and system troubleshooting.
• Build and lead Global Reliability community with members across all sites to enable consistency and share industry best practices/learnings across the network.

Minimum / Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering degree from an accredited institution preferably in Mechanical or Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance, SHERQ, manufacturing or related experience is required. Candidate with more years of experience maybe considered for Principal Engineer position.
• Strong proficiency in reliability standards, tools, and processes.
• Complex problem-solving abilities with focus on accomplishing company goals and achieving results in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills capable of working with a diverse group of people.

Highly Desirable Experiences:
• Have reliability experience working for international Chemical Manufacturer, with a multiple-country scope.
• MS degree in Engineering
• Reliability Engineering Certification from a recognized institution.
