SUMMARY / ABOUT THE JOB
Anduril’s Quality organization is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team. The Quality team works with our customers, internal teams, and suppliers to ensure the deployment of reliable products that meet all mission requirements. We develop cutting-edge quality processes and methods to secure scalable, long-term business success.
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will work inside and outside the organization to define and execute processes that deliver reliable solutions to our customers. The right person for this role has hardware manufacturing, Quality management system and coaching experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Collaborate with external customers and across the organization to ensure that requirements are known and followed
- Collaborate with internal customers and ensure that Quality processes meet their needs
- Work with Manufacturing and Engineering to define and execute risk management for a variety of electrical and mechanical products
- Work with Purchasing to evaluate and improve suppliers
- Act as an internal auditor of the Quality Management System and support its continuous improvement
- Analyze performance data and lead improvement projects in all areas
- Train and coach colleagues in Quality processes and methods
- Support ad hoc investigations and initiatives as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- 10 years of Quality experience in a hardware manufacturing environment
- Experience working with third party-certified Quality Management System processes and documents
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, medical device, or electronics manufacturing
- Experience working outside the organization with customers and suppliers
- Experience analyzing data to develop actionable, timely information
- Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated experience driving projects from start to completion
- Knowledge of inspection techniques, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and various manufacturing processes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Master’s degree in a technical field
- Experience as an externally-trained auditor for AS9100 or other ISO9001-based QMS
- Experience with product development, risk mitigation, and problem-solving techniques.
- Experience with low volume manufacturing
