Job Description
TITLE: Senior Quality Engineer
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Senior Quality Engineer in Riverwoods, IL to in collaboration with other stakeholders and management devise the quality engineering objectives, organizational quality engineering policies, and quality engineering strategies for each project. Lead, guide, and participate in the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of the scenarios, procedures, and QE suites. Ensure content and structure of all QE documents and artifacts are documented and maintained. Liaise with Development and Testers for iterations, testing, and deployment activities. Assist in the preparation of System, Integration and User Acceptance Tests. Ensure proper configuration management of the QE artifacts produced and traceability of the tests to the requirements. Recognize when test automation is appropriate and, if it is, plan the effort. As test execution approaches, ensure the test environment is ready before test execution and managed during test execution. Schedule the tests for execution and monitor, measure, control, and report on the test progress, the product quality status, and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions. Assist in the preparation of agendas for meetings, for example, weekly team meetings. Frequently hold status-check meetings with the team, communicating by means of chat or emails, etc. Report upon quality engineering activities, including results, coverage, required resources, defects discovered, and their status, performance baselines, etc. Attend the regular QE team meetings. Plan, monitor, control, and execute the quality engineering activities and tasks. Provide input into the estimation of effort. Prepare the software plan. Assist in the analysis of requirements during the requirements analysis phase of projects. Keep track of the requirements from the project and manage Change of Scope (COS). Identify the hardware and software requirement for the quality engineering setup. Escalate the issues about project requirements such as software, hardware, and resources to Project Manager and Quality Manager. Adhere to all processes and procedures for quality engineering as per established standards defined by the organization. Promote a risk-aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: delivering business user stories and features that build foundation and platform enhancements; utilizing Scala and Spark programming testing frameworks along with SonarQube and best coding practices to produce defect free products; building and maintaining Cucumber test suite and automation tasks; utilizing knowledge of CI/CD Jenkin pipeline and Multithreading concepts; performing peer code reviews, paired programming, and unit and functional code and quality tests; and supporting Quality Engineers and non-functional testing (NFT).
