  • We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who is a critical thinker and a powerful advocate for our users. You’ll be embedded in a fully cross functional team working closely with your teammates to determine what needs to be built, identify risks early and apply the appropriate test approach.

Senior QA Engineers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Lead/Participate in the constant improvement of our testing practices, i.e. exploratory testing, test charters, session-based test management.
  • Coach developers and other testers on good testing practices and techniques.
  • Participate in design meetings with Business Analysts, UX designers, Support and Developers and share perspectives on ensuring testability.
  • Lead and guide critical initiatives that often require complex technical and domain knowledge. Explore the uncertainty to uncover risks.
  • Produce and maintain product coverage reports for test coverage.

You Have:

  • You have a deep understanding of various testing approaches, especially tool-assisted exploratory testing. 
  • A good understanding of Context Driven, Risk Based, and Session Based testing.
  • 5 or more years’ experience as a software tester. 
  • Automation experience, especially with tools like Cypress/Selenium, is a bonus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline is a bonus.

  • Experienced communicator who can work with cross-functional teams to create and execute plans.
  • Passionate about process and structure. You can prioritize what is most important and create repeatable processes to improve common workflows.
  • Focused on the problem. You can go heads down to understand the root cause of a bug.
  • Engaging beyond tests. You understand that empathizing with our customers, building relationships with your co-workers, and going deep on the product makes you a better teammate and a better engineer.

Measuring Success:

  • Within your first month, you will absorb fundamental knowledge about Collibra processes/tools and SDLC.
  • Within your third month, you will have significant influence shaping Quality Culture and development/testing processes around it.
  • Within your sixth month, you will be a productive member of the global QA team, reliably delivering quality code, participating in testing, coaching and mentoring developers and testers on effective software testing practices and team’s test strategy.
