What to expect

As a Senior QA Engineer you will design and develop automated test infrastructure and scripts in concert with new product releases, and as the need arises to approve delivery of all new hardware and software capabilities to our customers. This involves translating product requirements and design specs into impactful test coverage and leveraging the automated test system to identify bugs, verify fixes, and ensure ongoing regression of product capabilities as they evolve release to release. You'll work closely with product architects, developers, and technical support teams to ensure quality standards are met for both new products and throughout the product life cycle via maintenance releases. You'll support products such as the E6000 CMTS, RD1322 Remote PHY, and RD2322 Remote MAC PHY as well as forward-looking projects.

You'll make an impact by

Having hands-on experience in DOCSIS technology, knowledge of HFC networks or IP networking (IPv4, IPv6), and familiarity with cable internet technology would be helpful however not required. You'll use your expertise in writing test cases in Python and similar script supporting directly with validation of hardware and software products at the center of CommScope's Broadband Networks business. As a team you will be engaged with a rewarding mix of design, development, and quality assurance activities and which allow team members to develop valuable depth and breadth of knowledge regarding these critical products.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 5+ years experience writing test methodologies (especially test automation).
• Proficient knowledge of scripting/interpretive languages such as Python, TCL, Perl
• Demonstrated experience with the software development life cycle, agile development, and collaborating on hardware/software design, development, or test activities

You Will Excite Us If You Have

• Prior experience with Broadband Networks products
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments
