The Role

The Senior Project Engineer will manage and drive to completion a project portfolio consisting of multiple projects at various execution stages in a fast paced, complex work environment.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Design, scope, estimate, submit for approval, construct, commission, and complete projects in facility as requested by facility management with focus on cost, schedule, and project premise deliverables.
  • Lead project teams to successful project outcomes in accordance with Fujifilm design development processes, with particular focus on early organizational alignment for project scope, schedule and functional requirements
  • Support process / project design requirements to meet future product and technology needs
  • Support engineering document control requirements, provide input and engineering guidance to drafting / design.
  • Manage 3rd party design resources as required to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Support operations and maintenance through troubleshooting of equipment failures
  • Support equipment reliability initiatives through application of non-destructive testing and other reliability methods
  • Develop and execute Design Reviews and Management of Change applications
  • Support facility Safety and Quality Systems
  • Develop, recommend and implement process improvements in support of business objectives
  • Support facility improvements through interpretation of applicable design codes
  • Support and participate in Environmental, Safety and Health and quality department programs and requirements.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Construction Management team to ensure successful project outcomes (safety, cost, schedule, quality)



REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with Chemical Industry experience
  • 2 years Chemical or industrial manufacturing plant experience
  • 4 to 6 years of Project Management experience
  • 3 to 5 years Maintenance Department experience
  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
  • AutoCAD experience required, Plant3D experience preferred
  • HVAC system design & operation experience desired
  • Extensive knowledge of Electrical, Building, and Fire codes
  • Equipment reliability techniques (NDT methods) desired
  • Strong Communication skills
  • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
