What you will do for Siemens Mobility:

Fulfill a Project Engineer role
that is responsible for the delivery of technical work packages, driving adherence
of defined engineering practices, driving continuous improvement activities,
and leads small taskforce teams to drive positive project KPI's. This role will
also require providing support to the business development and sales divisions
when requested in order to drive additional business growth. Within this role,
you will be required to gain the level of technical and product expertise on
the products that fall under the Software Solutions Freight organization within
Siemens Mobility North America These technical skills will be leveraged to
drive the technical teams to remedy high priority problems, drive root cause
analysis process and implement remedies where applicable, and drive technical
discussions with internal and external stakeholders. This role may have
functional management responsibility.

Responsibility:

We are seeking someone with
combined experience and skills in managing projects and managing engineering
teams for projects within the rail industry. Our ideal candidate is someone
with a Railroad and project management background who has validated experience
managing teams and delivering work packages to earn positive results.

Responsibilities will
include:

ul
  • Active participation in optimal overall project
    technical solution
  • Achievement of the delivery of design work packages on
    schedule and in accordance with the project budget and scope
  • Lead continuous improvement exercise meant to drive
    positive project KPI's and significantly reduce and technical debt.
  • Be able to serve as the face to the customer in order
    to deescalate when technical problems arise that require immediate
    response.
  • Support the Sales and Business development teams when
    requested by attending trade shows or sales opportunities.
  • Serve as a mentor to the engineering project staff in
    order to support career growth and optimal project technical knowledge
    skillsets

  • Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
    ul
  • Project management experience
  • Engineering management experience.
  • Strong knowledge in Software Development Lifecycle
    Process (SDLC)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an Engineer Lead or
    Technical Project Manager for Engineering system applications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, engage, and manage tasking
    of cross-functional teams of varying skills/experience
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with Senior Leadership
    personnel, both internal and external.
