Senior Principal Solutions Architect

Our Solutions Architecture team within Professional Services are specialists in package customization and integration as well as total, end-to-end solutions in targeted industry segments. After a detailed consultation with our customers and careful analysis, we develop new IT systems or replace existing systems that support customers' strategic, operational and financial goals.

Join us as a Senior Principal Solutions Architect on our Solutions Architecture team in Remote - Virginia, VA to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.

What you'll achieve
As a Senior Principal Solutions Architect, you will take the technical lead during pre-and post-sales engagement, using a consultative approach towards the customer to fully understand their overall business goals. From there, you will translate the client's business requirements into specific systems or applications for complex technology solutions.

You will:

  • Lead a group of technical resources in a large-scale enterprise services deployment by driving resource planning, technical design requirement, and solution implementation
  • Responsible for the successful deployment of Enterprise hardware and software projects within the customer's environment
  • Proactively identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation plans as well as demonstrating ownership and the ability to drive issues to resolution
  • Ability to mentor the team, contribute to training, knowledge base creation and communication to internal and external customers
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers and leadership, key members in solutions, strategy decisions and presentations

Essential Requirements:

  • 12 + years of IT technical expertise in the use of Data Center products and their use in the design of Converged Infrastructure through Network, Compute, Storage and Virtualization Architecture with a Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
  • Priority skills are VMware virtualization (e.g., vSphere, NSX-T, vRealize suite, LogInsight), networking, storage, and compute
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills to be able to influence and interact with confidence and credibility at all levels within the Dell Technologies companies, customers, partners and vendors
  • Up to 75% of travel to client sites within the region, and/or nationally as needed, will be required
  • Physically able to lift and move Enterprise hardware in our customer environments


Desirable Requirements:

  • Top Secret / SCI security clearance or higher
  • Security + or CISSP certification or equivalent
