Are you up to the challenge?
- Work as a primary Architect on a team developing complex distributed system using technologies such as Java, Java Scripts, Python, ASP.NET, C#, XML, JSON, RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka.
- Partner with stakeholders, both leadership and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of the organization's strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets. Position yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Align IT and business plans while producing architecture artifacts including but not limited to roadmaps, standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Partner with external clients if necessary to understand their business needs and ensure the architecture meets the IT need of each business or client
- Develop solutions to problems by exercising judgment and discretion. Determine dependencies, identify, and assign specific resources in agreement with the management, and communicate expectation to team members. Track progresses against release schedule and in collaboration with the project management
- Articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms including a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks that may be used by our legacy systems.
- Proactively seek to understand major IT and industry trends and apply them to IT solutions, new initiatives, and capability roadmaps

SDLC
You should definitely have:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 7+ years of the experience working in IT departments.
- 5+ years of experience with software development with design and architecture focus.
- Hand-on in a team developing complex distributed system using technologies such as Java, Java Scripts, Python, ASP.NET, C#, XML, JSON, RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka.
- Full understanding of standards for all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
- Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of design and assumptions.
- Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical or executive audiences.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with peers and executive leadership.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and management skills, including facilitating change, driving operational excellence, and striving for continuous improvement in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
- Creativity, professionalism, proactiveness and an interest in new technologies.
It would be nice if you had:
- Knowledge of Satellite technology.
- Strong ability to define alternatives, make appropriate recommendations and provide strategies for the resolution of issues at the platform, tool/utility and software levels.
