ThermoFisher Scientific is seeking a Sr Engineer located Carlsbad, CA and this individual will plan, design, and/or implement efficient and sustainable IT and business system solutions to support Enterprise Application Integrations. This role will work with Enterprise Services team and support systems to drive business process improvements, system automation, continuous improvement, and other duties associated with production support.

What will you do?

• Design, develop, test, deploy, support, enhance data integration solutions seamlessly to connect and integrate ThermoFisher Scientiic enterprise systems
• Defining, designing and documenting reference architecture and leading the implementation
• Manage performance monitoring and tuning of platform
• Must be willing to be part of 24x7 ON-Call rotation.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues

How will you get here?

Education

• BS or equivalent in Computer Science or related field or a combination of technical skills, and application integration background

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a hands-on AWS services (EKS/ECS), MuleSoft (CloudHub, on-premises and hybrid), Oracle Fusion Middleware Platform Engineer
• 5+ years build/release and automation experience in Unix or Microsoft platforms
• 5+ years WebLogic server SOA, BPEL, OSB administration Skills
• Experience with Cloud technology solutions and/or running and supporting large complex systems at scale.
• Experience in cloud architecture using AWS; preferably certified

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Automate manual tasks in platform to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Develop measurements of platform (Oracle Fusion Middleware/Outsystems/Mulesoft)
• Provide DevOps and technical support to various development teams
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting on all integration application suite and resolve issues

Preferred Qualifications

Primary Skill - AWS EKS, ECS, Docker, Mulesoft

Secondary Skill - Oracle Weblogic, Oracle SOA 12, BPEL, OSB, Linux (RedHat) , Outsystems and Oracle Database.

• Responsible of platform administration for both Oracle Fusion Middleware and Mulesoft (CloudHub and on-premises servers), including planning, design, installation, development and ongoing maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting skills of WebLogic Server, BPEL, OSB.
• Strong Database skills (SQL Server and Oracle) and understanding of DB and application integration. Knowledge of BPEL DB structures and tables.
• Understanding of Unix/Linux or Windows systems from Kernel to Shell and beyond, including system libraries, file systems, and Client Server protocols ,excellent network administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Exposure to several AWS Services like S3, IAM, CloudWatch, ELB, AWS Kafka, AWS App Mesh and Route 53
