About the Team
Our Linux based OS is growing. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to help develop our abstraction layer between hardware iterations. This may include defining specifications for multiple vendor specific implementations or lifting functionality into the common implementation.
What You Will Do

• Be involved with every stage of the software development process.
• Help architect new OS services using both existing open source components and greenfield development.
• Design APIs/SDKs/Specifications used by other teams, both internal and external to the company.
• Optimize memory usage.
• Help mentor other team members.
• Develop a strategy for verifying adherence to specifications.

• You respect the institutional knowledge stored in legacy code, but aren't afraid to replace it when needed.
• You know when to use an existing solution and when to build something new.
• You have patience when working with people of all skill levels.
• You build up those around you.
• Your ego isn't tied to your technical decisions.
• You pay attention to the edge cases, evaluating how a design might break.
• 4+ years of experience working with Linux systems
• Experience working in memory-constrained environments.
• Experience with systems programming in C/C++ or Rust.
• Experience with at least one high level language, such as Python.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
