The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for designing, building, modifying, and / or remediating / trouble-shooting configurations of network infrastructure services for routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls in a fast paced environment. They must be able to effectively understand and implement configurations within these 4 primary network service domains.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and install network routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers
• Report on project and operational status by gathering and organizing information
• Deeply understand, design-for and support-of routing protocols for WAN and LAN connectivity
• Off-hour support may be required for maintenance windows and / or trouble-shooting
• Research new technology to determine what would best support the organization in the future
• Produce professional diagrams and documentation required to support environment
• Participate in Tier 4 on-call rotation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a computer science related field
• 10+ years of network engineering experience in multiple networking disciplines
• Experience with networking in the financial technology industry
• Senior level experience in LAN, WAN, VPN, SDN, MPLS, Internet, Data Center, Route, Switch, Firewall, Load Balancer from multiple vendors
• Efficient problem solving and decision making skills
• Detail oriented with complex information
• Adaptable and flexible to shifting priorities
• Effective verbal and written communication

Preferred:

• Experience with administrating NSX, ISE
• 3+ years of networking experience in the financial technology industry
• Deep Platform Knowledge of: f5, Checkpoint, Cisco
