It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely 100% of the time and will share a hoteling workspace if/when working onsite, as determined by business needs. The incumbent can work remotely from anywhere in the United States. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

About this Role:

API Center for Enablement is looking to add a Senior Mulesoft Developer to our group. Our team is a cross functional team with representation from business and IT. Our goal is to productize, publish, and harvest reusable assets and best practices to help promote consumption, collaboration, and drive self-reliance.

As a MuleSoft Developer, you will

  • Understand Business Requirements, perform impact analysis and assess technical challenges/feasibility in achieving required business outcome
  • Work with other teams to create and influence proper standards for development, governance, and operational lifecycle
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of MuleSoft & cloud integration operations and delivery.
  • Use MuleSoft-hosted Anypoint Platform to take a basic API through all the phases of its lifecycle: design, build, deploy, manage, and govern.
  • Connect to a range of resources including databases, files, web services, SaaS applications, and JMS queues.
  • Perform data transformation, control event flow and handle errors.
  • Design API layers, data models and specifications
  • Test and improve performance of the APIs in terms of response time, reliability, and resource usage
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues with APIs, identify source of the issue and fix/work with the appropriate team to get the issue fixed
  • Identify ongoing risks and pain points, develop, and implement mitigation measures


Qualifications

  • Well-versed in two or more languages (Kotlin, Ruby, Java, Javascript, etc.) and are comfortable with the latest Object-Oriented technology
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer- Level 1 (Mule 4)
  • 3+ years of experience with MuleSoft (RAML)
  • Experience in building an application network using API-led connectivity and Anypoint Platform.
  • Expertise in Anypoint Platform to discover, consume, design, build, deploy, manage, and govern APIs.
  • Experience with connecting to databases, files, web services, SaaS applications, JMS queues, and more.
  • Add application logic, handle errors, and transform data using DataWeave.
  • Structure applications to facilitate development and deployment.
  • Good understanding of data formats such as XML, CSV, and JSON
  • Excellent understanding of typical integration technologies such as HTTP, JMS, JDBC, REST, and SOAP
  • Knowledge of Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring for end-to-end process execution
  • Knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes is a big plus.
  • Experience in handling batch data processing is a plus.
  • Knowledge in the messaging frameworks such as Kafka, SQS, Pub/Sub, IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ etc. is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent previous work experience
