We are seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning (ML) Engineer, who wants to work on the selection, benchmarking, and implementation of the core ML models across multiple cognitive categories to drive our business. You will work closely with senior engineering leadership across all of Veritone’s business units to prioritize the efforts of the Cognitive Services team and help grow the business.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and research best in class machine learning systems and models
- Deploy new models and systems to production while ensuring compatibility with Veritone standards
- Study, transform, and convert data science prototypes into production code.
- Discover, create and curate appropriate data sets
- Perform statistical analysis and use results to improve models
- Train and retrain ML systems and models as needed
- Monitor and correct for model drift in production
- Analyze the business use cases against the ML algorithms in order to determine their probability of meeting business goals
- Stay on top of state of the art / best in class ML models to apply to real-world use cases.
- Understand when your findings can be applied to business decisions
What You'll Need
- Advanced degree in computer science, math, statistics or a related discipline
- Extensive data modeling and data architecture skills
- 3+ years of experience training, deploying and managing ML models in harsh production environments
- 5+ Programming experience in Python is required, Golang desired
- Background in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or MXNets
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
