Come join our Solutions Engineering team

Our Solutions Engineering team is committed to ensuring all Karat clientele are building and executing fair, predictive technical interviews. Working closely with Customer Success and Sales, we use our technical expertise to advise our clients on Karat’s approach to interviewing, and how it can best serve their needs.

What you will do

As Manager of Solutions Engineering at Karat, you will be known as the technical subject-matter-expert on our product offering. Our clients will rely on you to understand their hiring process, company and team make up, and performance needs in order to build a high-performing interview plan. Partnering with Alignment and Sales Engineers, you will analyze data, develop proposals, and strengthen the partnership between Karat and our clients.

Karat’s HQ is based in Seattle, Washington, but we are open to remote candidates for this role (within the U.S.). This position requires approximately 10% travel to meet with client teams (currently on pause due to COVID-19, but will open up when safe). Immigration sponsorship is available for this position.

  • Manage, develop, and mentor a global team of highly technical, seasoned Solutions Engineers responsible for the performance delivery of the Karat technical interview.
  • Lead all aspects of the recruiting and development of a diverse and effective Solutions team.
  • Be an evangelist of Karat's product and service to prospects and clients.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to prioritize and target team opportunities.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product to identify gaps in knowledge and process to better serve clients.
  • Drive Solutions Engineering efficiency by improving team processes and workflows.
  • Act as a point of escalation for clients as-needed, with the goal of helping create consistent, predictive interview formats.

The experience you will bring

  • 10+ years in Sales/Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, Technical Account Management, technical consulting, or similar professional experience
  • 5+ years of relevant Sales/Solutions Engineering management experience
  • Previous experience supporting enterprise SaaS/B2B companies, with clients ranging from mid-level to Executive leadership
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis highly preferred
  • Strong, clear communicator that balances clarity and compassion (verbally and in writing)
  • Previous experience hiring, interviewing, and/or mentoring Software Engineers
