Guideline is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our expanding engineering team. As a senior manager on a 40-person engineering team, you'll set product and feature delivery by coaching, mentoring and unblocking the engineers on your team. We're a fast growing company and successful management means getting hands on with code and design reviews and playing a part in the continued development of our engineering team. You will be able to work remote.

What You Will Work On

• Provide technical leadership by contributing to functional requirements and design.
• Provide high quality software by removing barriers and unblocking team members.
• Grow the team through interviewing, mentoring our engineers.
• Guide and help improve full cycle software development following our goals and priorities.
• Create and guide your teams using Measurements and Objective and Key Results (OKRs).

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, 2+ years of managing a team of 5 or more engineers
• Familiarity with at least one modern backend language (like Ruby or Python) and one frontend language or framework (like React, Redux, Angular)
• Experience operating in a modern operational environment (we use GCP, Kubernetes and Docker)
• Experience delivering high quality software
• Effective at project management and using agile software development principles
