Job Description
As a Manager of Software Engineering, in Consumer & Community Banking within Data Technology, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team's work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practice. Job responsibilities

• Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
• Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
• Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
• Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
• Handle critical and time sensitive concurrent tasks with supervision and properly escalate situations as appropriate
• Maintain technical acumen by pursuing formal and informal learning opportunities about technology, JPMorgan Chase products, and financial services

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Experience leading technology projects
• Experience managing technologists
• Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
• Should be able to work Product owners to prioritize & deliver the backlog
• Practical cloud native experience, with strong relevant experience in ETL, Java/Spark technologies & AWS

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Candidates with people management skills would be given preference
• Should have strong SQL skills; Teradata is preference but experience in any other RDBMS technology would suffice
• Should be able to identify risks/issues for the project and manage them accordingly
• Should be able to lead by example and guide the team with his/her technical expertise
