Job Summary

In this role you'll lead teams architecture and development teams in Digital Innovation Delivery, a part of the Waste Management's Digital organization. You will deliver expertise customer software development in Collection Operations. Demonstrate broad knowledge of highly complex business processes and capabilities. Conducting business process analysis, needs, assessments, and participate in design sessions with Architects in aligning information technology solutions with business initiatives. Lead specialized projects where you'll provide technical expertise in software design and solutioning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain roadmaps for cloud and mobile development efforts.
  • Presents technical processes effectively to all levels of the organization.
  • Contributes strategic vision and integrates a broad range of ideas regarding applications and software development.
  • Manages complex cloud-based software projects, web application development, security and open source technologies.
  • Applies knowledge system design, development, implementation, upgrades and analysis.
  • Drives architecture, design modeling and strategy for the enterprise.
  • Leads, mentors, and works well with teams of architects and developers.
  • Collaborator with developers, testers, product owners and scrum teams.
  • Leads and oversees design/modeling sessions and team code reviews.
  • Resolves technical design conflicts when the arise.
  • Frequency participation in agile daily stands, sprints, and planning.
  • Partners with business and UX teams to understand and implement product features.


Supervisory Responsibilities

The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is management through one or more managerial levels. This includes both direct and indirect supervision of full-time employees including management and individual contributor positions.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited), in computer science, MS, or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience.
  • Eight (8) years of previous experience in leading development teams in addition to education requirement.


B. Preferred Experience

  • People Leader of software development teams, preferably enterprise applications.
  • AWS Cloud Architecture and Services
  • Nodejs microservices
