In this position you will be a working manager to lead team members from multiple java-based Scrum teams, and also be responsible for developing and supporting business solutions to many strategic programs. Manage and mentor members of the Scrum teams to drive consistency and push them to grow.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within United States as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Quality Engineers to best leverage test-driven development and automation best practices
  • Accountable to review and provide team with defined QA strategy, standards, procedures, tools, and processes
  • Review test automation practices and cases built by team to identify and address gaps
  • Work with teams to promote shift-left testing methodology and bringing functional, and nonfunctional testing earlier in the development process
  • Provide management updates, status reporting, and dashboards from a quality perspective to demonstrate product progress and process maturity
  • Provide tracking of program progress, align to business and IT MBOs and execute with taking full accountability of the quality processes for assigned engagements
  • Drive and ensure alignment with Engineering peers and tech leads during strategy, planning and delivery
  • Primary contact supporting 5 or more Scrum Teams at any given time

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in the IT field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience as a Quality Engineer or Engineering Manager functions
  • Hands-on experience in all types of testing including unit, integration, system, sanity, smoke, regression, acceptance, performance
  • Experience with enterprise-level test automation tools and frameworks, including both open source and commercial products
  • Experience with back-end API testing
  • Experience implementing quality engineering practices in a CI / CD pipeline or workflows, version control, test management, and integrating automation frameworks
  • Hands-on experience in Java, Cucumber, Selenium, API testing tools, and familiarity with performance testing tools
  • Proficient in creating test strategies, and developing test plans
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL query language
  • Excellent understanding of SDLC and Agile methodology
  • Ability to align best quality testing process with Agile, Waterfall, Kanban and hybrid frameworks
  • Good communicator at all levels of the organization


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an off-shore / on-shore model
  • Experience leading a team of Quality Engineers in a large organization
  • Experience in complex projects with division or company-wide scope
  • Healthcare Industry experience
  • Knowledge of testing AngularJS or Angular applications
  • Familiar with DevOps engineering tools such as Jenkins, etc.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
