Position Summary...
What you'll do...
It's an exciting time to join our Walmart journey as we focus on continuing to build out the scalable systems to manage next generation for Walmart applications. As a Senior Manager II, Software Engineer you will lead a team of engineers and managers to design, develop and deliver solutions which delight millions of customers daily.
You'll make an impact by:

  • Building and leading teams: Set and manage globally distributed engineering teams
  • Providing cross-functional leadership : Working cross-functionally with product, engineering, program, and business teams to deliver omni-solutions across Walmart Global Tech org
  • Developing and executing plans : Drive the execution of multiple business plans and tech initiatives. Effectively communicate execution, capacity, resource plans, and priorities
  • Building strategic relationships: Partner with peer teams to help design omni-presence solution across different Walmart teams
  • Operating with excellence - Set an example in managing code quality via reviews, coverage, automation for core application and peer teams. Contribute to technology backlog based on reviews.


What you'll bring:

  • Experience driving the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business
  • Planning and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly
  • Developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
  • Providing supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations
  • Providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
  • Ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related field OR 7 years' experience in software
engineering or related field.
2 years' supervisory experience.

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related field
