Corporate Investment Banking - Post Trade Technology Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for meeting the firms' regulatory obligations to report IB trading globally. We work on major regulations like European (MiFID, SFTR, FCA) and North American regulations (CFTC-Dodd Frank, SEC).
As a software engineer in regulatory reporting team, you will be involved in mining global JPMC trade data in large data stores and build reports and dashboards for regulatory and compliance.
• Minimum 6 years of developing complex Java enterprise applications in medium to large scale projects• Strong hands-on experience on Java technology stack.• Hands-on experience on Spring framework, Micro services, Distributed Caching such as Apache Ignite, Kafka/MQ queues.• Test driven code development, experience in testing framework such as Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium etc.• Good knowledge of SQL, RDBMS like Oracle• Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.• Knowledge of modern development lifecycles, such as Agile and iterative development.• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals.
Desirable (but not essential):• Knowledge on building Big Data warehouse using Hadoop, Big Data Ecosystem & Spark. • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure etc and also experience with Kubernetes/Docker/Cloud Fundry/
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop code that conforms to the design, addresses non-functional requirements, and complies with the coding standards and conventions.• Create detailed Unit Test cases, perform unit testing, integration testing, support QA and User acceptance testing and also address ad hoc user queries. • Practice test-driven development, automated testing (using Fitnesse) and continuous integration.• Participate in peer review sessions.• Analyze programs and troubleshoot production issues. Identify potential performance tuning improvement areas and implement tuning measures.• Collaborate with regional and global team members from other regions.• Possess a good understanding of change management and release processes.
