Senior Java Developer Job Description

As a Senior Java Developer, you will manage the software development life cycle, from planning and prioritizing to testing and release.

Senior Java Developer Main Responsibilities

• Administer and/or manage mid-sized or complex sites, key programs or processes, or assist in the administration of a larger program, process, or site
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Understand work direction from leaders, translate into tasks, and execute with minimal guidance
• Participate in architectural discussions leveraging strong knowledge of design principles
• Follow design guidelines and coding practices through regular design and code reviews
• Work with the SCRUM methodology, participating in all facets of the sprint.
• May develop and manage all parts of a story development plan with minimal assistance and within the context of a sprint.
• Organize and conduct systems integration tests with IT cross-functional groups.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Senior Java Developer Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or an Associate's degree with 2+ years of information technology experience
• 5+ years of Information Technology experience
• 4+ years of java development or equivalent object-oriented language experience (e.g., C-sharp, C++, .Net, etc.)
• Experience with " relational/SQL" database technologies
• Experience with debugging/troubleshooting complex, distributed systems
• Experience with REST web service technologies

Senior Java Developer Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years JEE experience
• 1+ years of Single Page App experience
• Experience creating accurate time estimates for technical tasks
• Experience with SOAP web service technologies
• Background or experience with AWS services
• Background and knowledge in loan data
• Background in call center collections applications
