Why this job is important:
As a Bullhorn Engineer, you will develop, implement and support solutions which coordinate applications across the enterprise. You will evaluate existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and ensure that the final solutions meet organizational needs.
As a Software Engineer, a typical day might include:
Create new connector components built custom as well as with integration tools (e.g. Workato) to enable Bullhorn and its Partners to connect to third party systems.
Develop script utilities and software applications using standard technologies (Ruby, shell, JS, Java, etc).
Using SQL and associated data-centric tools, build data integrations against RDMBS, NoSQL, and file-based sources and targets.
Specify strategies for system integration, incorporating the time schedule, the processes required to combine components into subsystems and systems, the means on how components will interface as well as the risks associated with the integration.
Prepare documentation for existing and upcoming products or services, describing their functionality and composition in such a way that it is understandable for a wide audience without technical background and compliant with defined requirements and standards.
Keep documentation up to date.
Apply the principles and rules that govern the activities and processes of an organization.
This job might be for you if:
5+ years with Java, Ruby, Shell or JavaScript
Experience with SQL
Experience with integration tools
Great organizational and multitasking skills
Experience in Agile/Scrum
Bonus points for:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar degree, or relevant work experience
Experience with RESTful Web Services, Jenkins, Octopus, Git, database programming
