Positions in this function design, engineer, and manage the organization's infrastructure and operational platforms. From a cloud services model, this includes services commonly thought of as IaaS and PaaS and their underlying foundational components. Additionally, this function also has responsibility for traditional enterprise infrastructure and operational platforms such as email, file transfer, and collaboration technologies, among others. This role must understand functional and non-functional requirements to ensure they can be achieved through system design and engineering to meet the needs of the customers. Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to develop roadmaps for their respective technology portfolios, resolve cross-system and domain dependencies, ensure effective integration among the services offered to the end customer, and efficient usage of infrastructure and operational platforms. Monitor technological advancements and industry trends to influence company standards and ensure that solutions are continuously improved and maintained through product management practices, including recommendations to invest in a solution or retirement of redundant or out-of-date systems. Understand the interactions between systems, the applications and services hosted, and evaluate the impact of changes and additions. Perform analysis on existing systems to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, meet security requirements, and interoperable and maintainable technology portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:
Senior I O Engineer - Role is a Sr. Technical Lead that will deliver business solutions on the Sterling B2B platform for Optum. This individual will provide technical expertise for development and system administration of the platform including:

• Collaborates with Business stakeholders for requirements gathering, design review, and solution development
• Performs business process and custom map development
• Develops, implements and supports product roadmap within the business unit including upgrades and/or migrations
• Deployment of new code across Non-Prod and Production environments
• Performs trading partner maintenance, including setting up MFT connections with internal and external clients
• Provides On-Call production support of the application
• Mentors and builds best practices within the team

The individual will also work problem tickets and perform ongoing system maintenance as directed by manager. Must be able to work with global teams and within a matrixed organization. Excellent troubleshooting skills with transaction failures or transfer issues are required. Must take ownership and accountability with work product and drive to meet Service Level Agreement turnaround times with a focus on sustainability and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience with file transfer protocols such as FTPS, SFTP, AS2 and Connect:Direct
• 6+ years of experience with Sterling Integrator in an application administration role with duties including:
  • Production Monitoring and using various monitoring tools
  • Performance optimization
  • Root cause analysis
  • Advanced troubleshooting
• 3 + years of Linux experience including Shell and Perl scripting
• 3 + years of SQL experience
• 3+ years of EDI experience
• Experience supporting applications running on Linux

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience on various IBM MFT Products/Tools:
  • IBM Sterling Secure Proxy
  • IBM Sterling External Authentication Server
  • IBM Control Center
  • IBM Connect Direct
  • RESTful APIs
• Experience using PragmaEdge Community Manager (PCM)

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900.
