Promote the adoption of Red Hat's solutions with our key enterprise accounts, government agencies, and service provider partners. The Red Hat Cloud Storage and Data Services team is looking for a Senior Hybrid Cloud Consultant to join us. In this role, you will earn the trust and confidence of customer engineering, development, and operations teams through a series of in-person and remote interactions by aligning their requirements and use cases to the functional capabilities of our solutions. You'll have a critical role in bringing together cross-functional teams from Red Hat's Product, Product Engineering, Support, Professional Services, and Sales teams to meet the needs of our most demanding customers. As a Senior Hybrid Cloud Consultant, you will serve as a customer advocate to deliver the right solutions and to ensure that these solutions are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Implement and integrate Red Hat's open hybrid cloud technologies, including Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, and Red Hat Ceph Storage
  • Collaborate with project and customer team members to meet timelines and goals
  • Contribute to project documentation and diagrams, including quality assurance (QA) and ticket and bug management
  • Mentor and share knowledge with customers
  • Develop and implement automation and integration for our customers' cloud and system infrastructure solutions using Python or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
  • Work with senior associates to guide adoption of automation techniques and DevOps processes to improve the cloud life cycle, including infrastructure and application uptime, availability, and time-to-market
  • Design and advocate solutions using cloud technologies, design principles, integration points, and automation methods
  • Frequent travel in the future will be required to work alongside leading financial services, retail, telecommunication, and institutional customers, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines


What you will bring

  • 7+ years in a related technology position, e.g., consulting, operations, development, or related internships
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud and Linux technologies
  • 3+ years of experience with automation frameworks and tools like Puppet or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
  • Advanced skills with command line tools and scripting, e.g., Ruby or Python
  • Understanding of Red Hat OpenShift Container platform or Kubernetes
  • Background in designing and delivering implementations using cloud infrastructure technologies and providers, e.g., Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Virtualization or Kernel Virtual Machine (KVM), VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Xen, Rackspace Cloud Services, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure
  • Thorough knowledge of either cloud software-defined networking (SDN) or storage disciplines and DevOps models and technologies
  • Extensive experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and design
  • Experience with OpenData Hub, Hive, Pig, or Spark is a plus
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage is a plus
