What you'll do

  • Design, build and improve APIs, services, and systems specifically for our Parkonect solutions
  • Help scale our backend architecture and migrate to a service-oriented future
  • Ensure standards for engineering excellence, scalability, reliability, and reusability
  • Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
  • Expand our automated testing coverage across services and multiple levels of the stack
  • Mentor junior engineers and build new engineering leaders for the organization

What you should bring

  • You are a developer who have 5-7+ years of software development experience. If not, convince us that it doesn’t matter. 
  • You are familiar with web and mobile toolkits (Bootstrap, JQuery, React, as examples)
  • You've built, or are familiar with API’s and distributed architectures.
  • Some familiarity with unit, systems, and functional testing.
  • You are able to take complex product goals and efficiently deliver working software in logically consumable pieces and on schedule
  • The ability to succinctly and thoroughly articulate your ideas both verbally and written 
  • You deeply care about what you're building and take ownership over the quality and delivery.
  • Possess excellent practical judgement. You should know how to effectively allocate your time when solving hard problems
