Your Opportunity

The New Relic Collaboration product will integrate modern collaboration tools into the New Relic One platform and revolutionize how engineers collaborate on observability and telemetry.

Workflow efficiency will be improved by keeping conversations about information in a dashboard, a recent alert, or a log where they belong - next to what's being discussed instead of in 3rd party tools like Slack and Jira. Knowledge retention will be improved as discussions and resolutions to issues are available within New Relic One, in context and searchable.

We are looking for a problem-solving, highly skilled, elegant computer programmer who is self-motivated and comfortable working in a face-paced environment. We are a team of software engineers building tools FOR software engineers, and you should embrace your role in not just building the tools but also helping us shape the vision for a brand-new product offering.
Your Qualifications

Must-have:

  • 4+ years professional experience in software development with robust engineering teams using modern languages and frameworks such as Java, NodeJS, Javascript/Typescript or React
  • Intimate knowledge of full-stack software engineering principles
  • Attention to detail and consistency of implementation
  • Comfortable working on a team where code quality and code reviews are prioritized
  • Deep knowledge of source control, especially GIT
  • Ability to scale solutions
  • Understanding of event based programming
  • Ability to clearly communicate and document work

Nice-to-have:

  • Solid understanding of web-based authentication and authorization schemes
  • Understanding of code testing methodologies
  • Experience with cloud-based deployments and architecture, especially AWS
