What your responsibilities would be:

• Own & build the frontend that serves as the access control and definitions for all of Tempus’s data
• Work closely with Product and Design to transform requirements & mocks into code, providing leadership around technical implementation, UX, & design patterns
• Use your experience, deep technical knowledge, and creativity to simplify development workflows
• Proactively and continuously learn about new and relevant technologies
• Share your passion with other developers and advocate for best practices
• Help monitor and support our internal users and fulfill SLAs 

Some projects you could be working on:

• Find the difference between two JSON objects, highlight the changes, and recommend the appropriate Semantic Versioning change
• Add support for multiple editors on one data definition file, similar to how multiple people can collaborate on one Google Doc
• Create visualizations for how different types of data are connected
• Improve discoverability and guide users towards desired happy paths in a complex UI

Who you are:

• 3+ years of practical work experience in frontend web development with a strong emphasis on JavaScript/TypeScript and React
• Experience building pixel-perfect, robust, and accessible user interfaces on the web
• Experience writing and maintaining “Object Oriented” CSS. Experience with CSS-in-JS is a plus
• Familiar with continuous integration, delivery, and automated testing concepts. We use Jenkins, Concourse, Jest, and Cypress, but it’s ok if you haven’t used these exact technologies
• You have worked in agile environments and are comfortable iterating quickly
• You enjoy collaborating and communicating with team members of varying skill sets and from different fields
• Familiarity with using and contributing to internal design libraries

Bonus points for:

• Experience with one of the many infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform (our favorite), Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Docker, Ansible, Salt, Packer, Puppet, Chef, or similar
• Previous experience in the healthcare sector and securing infrastructure to standards or compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, or ISO
• Familiarity with JSON Schema Draft-07
