We need a Senior Frontend Engineer who is ready to bring Zumper's growth to the next level. Of course, Zumper is more than just an apartment search platform. Once you're on board you'll be working directly with the Growth team to help drive massive SEO improvements to our renter-facing applications as well as building tools (e.g. landlord tools, renter experience, platform, etc) that make renting easy!
What You Will Do
You'll work with the Growth team lead and Director of SEO to identify and implement SEO improvements for our renter-facing applications. This includes everything from implementing meta tag updates to major feature changes/additions. You'll build UI, manage private npm packages and provide valuable product input across two major brands (Zumper and PadMapper). You'll also help improve and fix existing SEO features and functionality as needed. Every quarter you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with people from across the company to explore new ideas, tackle ambitious concepts, and innovate in our multi-day hackathon. We have a proven track record of shipping over 50% of our hackathon projects to our customers!
Responsibilities
- Maintain the SEO health of our renter-facing applications
- Write UI in Javascript/React/Redux
- Design, build, test, review, and deploy new features
- Planning and executing on OKR oriented sprints
Who You Are
The ideal candidate is forward-thinking and ready to make an outsized impact within a tight, collaborative team. We are looking for someone that is an excellent communicator and is able to work closely with the technical and non-technical members of their team.
The right candidate knows React and Redux has a good grasp of NodeJS fundamentals and is comfortable with the terminal. We love working with self-motivated people who embrace problem solving and get things done.
