As a Senior Front-End Software Engineer, you will code the innovative designs and layouts of our website and products. You will take mock-ups or graphic designs to build fully functioning features with HTML/CSS/JS for our products and integrate them with backend systems, fashioning and engineering application functionality.

This role reports to the Director of Engineering, and is based in New Orleans, LA. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately.

What you'll do:

• Develop and maintain responsive and cross-browser compatible front-end user interface code

• Create website layouts and user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices from designs/mock-ups

• Integrate with PHP backend components

• Stay plugged into emerging UI/UX technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of front-end development experience

• Strong, demonstrable understanding of asynchronous programming concepts

• In-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS and Javascript

• Experience with responsive design and mobile-first approach as well as a good knowledge of previous browsers’ limitations

• Experience and hands-on skills in JS and one or many modern web frameworks such as Angular.js and Backbone.js

• Experience with source code version control systems such as Git 

• Ability to write modular, scalable, and clean code

• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques
