About The Team:
The Network Security Engineering team is accountable for Third level support of the Network Security infrastructure within the GTO-Network organization. They provide the Engineering functions for the network environment globally to ensure availability and growth occur in a timely manner to assist our clients in achieving their first to market goals. Network Security Engineering is responsible for providing stability, security, and efficiency to the overall network environment globally when dealing with project and incident management.
FIS Job Level Description:
The Network Security Analyst Specialist will be responsible as a lead technical resource for the security team responsible for planning, design, installation, support and maintenance in a multi-platform environment the entire enterprise. Makes decisions on Technical matters to ensure safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Typically requires more than fifteen years of related network planning, engineering and/or operations experience with at least six years of engineering responsibility for large network functions.
General Duties & Responsibilities:• Executes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing programs.• Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocol and recommends solutions.• Maintains security systems and administers security policies to control access to systems.• Maintains company firewall and utilizes applicable encryption methods.• Creates information security documentation related to work area and completes requests in accordance with company requirements.• Responds to information security-related questions and inquiries using established information security tools and procedures.• Resolves and/or performs follow through to resolve all information security issues and questions.• Implements and administers information security controls using software and vendor security systems.• Identifies opportunities and executes plans to improve workflow and understands and quantifies business impacts of those improvements for communication to management.• Interfaces with user community to understand security needs and implements procedures to accommodate them. Ensures that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.• Provides status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures.• Other related duties assigned as needed.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
General Knowledge , Skills, & Abilities:•Expert level experience with various firewall platforms including but not limited to Juniper, Cisco and Palo Alto.
• The ability to demonstrate experience migrating between firewall platforms.
• Knowledge of networks technologies (protocols, design concepts, access control)
• Proficient with several routing protocols, specifically utilizing BGP and OSPF
• Experience with Palo Alto Prisma, Cisco AnyConnect VPN• Knowledge of security technologies (encryption, data protection, design, privilege access, certificate lifecycle management etc.)
• Knowledge of network design and engineering• Proficiency in time management, communications, decision making, presentation and organizational skills.
• Experience with Bluecoat Proxies.
• Ability to troubleshoot outages leveraging multiple tools at one's disposal.•
• Proficiency in planning, reporting, establishing goals and objectives, standards, priorities and schedules• Expert-level decision-making and problem solving skills.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization• Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and/or clients
