Be part of an innovating FinOps and Cloud Cost Management at Northwestern Mutual. As part of this role, you will be responsible for defining and maturing FinOps through Inform, Optimize and Operate phases.
Drive outcomes by working across the technology organization in partnership with Finance.
Need to have:

Experience with AWS Services and architecture
Experience with AWS billing and discount programs (CUR, RIs, Savings Plans, EDP, MAP)
Experience with cloud native tools like AWS Cost Explorer or third-party cost tools (Kubecost, Flexera, CloudHealth, Apptio, etc)
Knowledge / experience with governance tools such as AWS SCP, AWS Trusted Advisor or Cloud Custodian
Experience querying AWS CUR via Athena and/or Redshift
Knowledge of containerized workloads and how sizing and scaling impacts costs
Ability to analyze anomalies by reviewing cloud usage metrics and trends
Experience with advanced Excel functions
Creative problem solving skills
Proactively learn emerging platforms and related technology
Ability to solve complex technical issues and enable/teach peers to be self sufficient
Ability to provide thought leadership throughout the local work division
Experience with Agile methodologies/DevOps environment

Nice to have:

Experience with cost data reporting dashboards/tools (i.e. AWS QuickSight, Power BI)
Experience with extracting, manipulating and ingesting cost data (AWS Athena, AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, Python)
Experience with budgeting/forecasting
