The HeartFlow SIM (Segmentation, Imaging and Modeling) team is seeking a new teammate who has a passion for test engineering and excels at (and has fun) solving challenges.


You’ll have the opportunity to work with an incredibly bright and motivated team who are 100% dedicated to helping each other create new technologies associated with the world’s first non-invasive software based product which provides both anatomic and physiological insights into coronary artery disease.

Job Responsibilities

  • Using Python to build tools and test automation frameworks to generate deterministic and accurate test results
  • Using C++ to perform code reviews and modify existing code
  • Driving flakiness out of tests at all test levels
  • Automating testing of complex algorithmic pipelines
  • Performing analysis and communicating results which confirm the accuracy of new and existing product technologies
  • Delivering CI/CD for Windows and Linux applications
  • Creating test data management tools and processes
  • Automating system level testing to ensure applications are scalable
  • Creating Jenkins jobs which deliver valuable test results
  • Writing and executing manual and automated tests
  • Growing your knowledge of acronyms like AI, ML, DL, CFD and CI/CD
  • Contributing to all stages of the software development life cycle
  • Exhibiting the teamwork skills necessary to be a key contributor to an Agile team

Experience Needed

  • 5+ years experience using Python and/or C++ to develop test tools and automation frameworks
  • Experience choosing and implementing various testing strategies
  • Previous experience extending test frameworks to encompass various test levels and enhancing automated coverage with deterministic results
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar Cloud Platforms
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Previous exposure to Agile software development practices (Scrum/Kanban)

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in an FDA/Medical Device regulated environment (familiarity with IEC 62304, working knowledge of design controls and quality systems)
  • Previous experience in: Datadog or other cloud monitoring platforms, VMWare or other virtualization service, log analysis
  • Automating image testing

Educational Requirements & Work Experience

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related technical degree; advanced degree is a plus
  • 8+ year(s) of relevant industry experience in software design, development, or testing 
  • 5+ year(s) experience in Python
