Senior Engineer - Storage
Job Description
Community Health Systems is a leading operator of general acute care hospitals and outpatient care centers in communities across the United States. CHS affiliates own, lease or operate 83 affiliated hospitals in 16 states with an aggregate of approximately 13,000 licensed beds. Healthcare services are also provided in more than 1,000 outpatient sites of care including affiliated physician practices, urgent care centers, freestanding emergency departments, imaging centers, cancer centers, and ambulatory surgery centers.
Summary:
This position will be a part of the CHS IS Technology storage team to support, implement, maintain, and remediate systems infrastructure all storage devices located at our data centers and hospitals. Must be available for 24x7 rotational on-call and for scheduled maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1.
Experience with provisioning SAN and NAS storage on Linux and Windows
2.
Extensive experience configuring, managing, supporting, troubleshooting EMC PowerMax, PowerStore, VMAX-3, VMAX-2, HDS, IBM, Atmos, Isilon, ECS.
3.
Working knowledge on EMC VNX, IBM 7K/5K, and EMC replication software - SRDF, SnapVX/Clone experience.
4.
Data migration planning and execution
5.
Experience with storage system performance analysis troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems
6.
Experience with backup/restore and archiving of data in a large environment, including both disk and tape backups and restores.
7.
Experience with Windows CIFS/SMB protocols, windows volume striping/concatenation, MPIO, CIFS file locks, DFS namespace, NTFS
8.
Strong knowledge working with CISCO MDS and Brocade switches.
9.
Good understanding of Networking with VLANs, subnets, and routing.
10.
Linux systems knowledge including performance tools and tuning
