As a Senior Engineer in the DRAM Engineering Group (DEG) System Product Engineering organization at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be part of the team that is responsible for driving CXL System Product Introduction, Development and Validation. You will work with the team to identify and solve complex problems affecting New Product Development, Validation, Performance and Compatibility.
In this role, you will be expected to work with the team to bring new products to market, and ensure they comply with Micron and Industry requirements and specifications. You will assist the team in developing methodologies and processes for validating and debugging our systems performance. Close collaboration with ASIC, Hardware, Firmware and other development teams will be required.
As a Senior Engineer you will be expected to guide projects, define strategy and contribute to developing and mentoring other engineers.

What's Expected Daily:

  • Drive CXL System Validation Tool Development.
  • Partner with Component and System Product Development teams, CXL System Design and Validation, CXL Product Qualification Team, Business Unit, Test Solutions Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations Teams
  • Lead the definition and implementation of Test Specifications.
  • Set up infrastructure to enable system product evaluation as wells as analytical and failure analysis tools
  • Perform EFA to root cause failures identified in validation, manufacturing, and customer environments. Collaborate with partner teams to drive the resolution of the fails to ensure the compliance and quality of our final product.
  • Enable capability to modify and implement test Firmware for CXL system products
  • Ensure appropriate characterization and validation coverage to provide guidance to manufacturing teams to achieve world class CXL system product quality and yields


How To Qualify:

  • 6+ years of experience on SSD or other semiconductor-based memory and storage system products
  • C++ and Python Proficiency.
  • Experience with architecting software programs and standing up and supporting tools.
  • Understanding of Computer Architecture. Including OS, BIOS, UEFI, ACPI, Memory Controllers, Drivers
  • Understanding of Memory and Storage Systems and related Protocols. e.g. DDR4, PCIe, NVMe
  • Experience with Protocol and Logic Analyzers

  • Understanding of Memory and Storage Systems and related Protocols. e.g. DDR4, PCIe, NVMe
